Wow, I love the texture, and the line.
The pattern on the leaves is a good mix with the more traditionally illustrated part of the root.
Wow, I think it's excellent, the details are stunning, only critique I would have is the typo, I think it would have better been without, or put somehow differently.
This kind of art is very similar with the work of Luigi Serafini, a great italian painter and graphic designer that in his book "Codex Serafinis" as invented an entire universe of creatures.
Look at it if you like, I think you can find it interesting!

...however, i like his work very much! :D
